Lynn Galbreath is a Detroit based artist who grew up in Argentina. Galbreath, working in the mediums of oil paint, graphite, digital imaging, and mixed media, earned a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art with K-12 Art Education Certification from the Frostic School of Art, Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, MI; and a Master of Fine Arts in Painting from the College of Fine, Performing, & Communications Art from Wayne State University, Detroit, MI. 

Lynn is a former recipient of the Creative Artists’ Grant from the Arts Foundation of Michigan and the Michigan Individual Artist Grant from Michigan Council For The Arts. She exhibits locally, nationally and internationally, showcasing her works in 7 solo exhibitions, 4 two-person exhibitions, and more than 80 group exhibitions.

Galbreath is a retired Adjunct Assistant Professor of Drawing, Painting, and Design at Oakland University, where she has been on the faculty of the Department of Art & Art History since 2000. Over the past ten years, Galbreath has taken many student groups to experience the art and culture of Italy, Spain, France, Belgium, England, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, and the Czech Republic.
