Lynn Galbreath is a Detroit based artist who grew up in Argentina. Galbreath, working in the mediums of oil paint, graphite, digital imaging, and mixed media, earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in with K-12 Art Education Permanent Certification from the Gwen Frostic School of Art, Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, MI; and a Master of Fine Arts in Painting from the James Pierson Duffy Department of Art, Art History and Design, Wayne State University, Detroit, MI.
Lynn is a recipient of the Creative Artists’ Grant from the Arts Foundation of Michigan and the Michigan Individual Artist Grant from Michigan Council For The Arts. Galbreath’s work has been showcased in many solo, two person, and group shows. Lynn’s work can be seen locally, nationally and internationally.
Galbreath is a retired Associate Professor of Studio Art from Oakland University, Department of Art & Art History, Rochester, MI. Over the past ten years, Galbreath has co-chaperoned eleven intensive, immersive art tours through Italy, Spain, France, Belgium, England, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, and the Czech Republic.
