Lynn Galbreath is a Detroit based artist who grew up in Argentina. Galbreath, working in the mediums of oil paint, graphite, digital imaging, and mixed media, earned a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art with K-12 Art Education Certification from the Frostic School of Art, Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, MI; and a Master of Fine Arts in Painting from the College of Fine, Performing, & Communications Art from Wayne State University, Detroit, MI.
Lynn is a former recipient of the Creative Artists’ Grant from the Arts Foundation of Michigan and the Michigan Individual Artist Grant from Michigan Council For The Arts. Galbreath’s work has been showcased in many solo, two person, and group shows locally, nationally and internationally.
Galbreath is a retired Adjunct Associate Professor of Studio Art from Oakland University, where she has been on the faculty of the Department of Art & Art History since 2000. Over the past ten years, Galbreath has chaperoned eleven groups on intensive, immersive art experiences to Italy, Spain, France, Belgium, England, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, and the Czech Republic.
